Curative's Vocational Services team includes Benefits Specialists who have been trained by the State of Wisconsin. The Benefits Specialists work with program participants to explain eligibility, the application process and how paid employment may affect eligibility for Social Security income and other benefits. The Specialists also provide information about work incentives available through Social Security.
Benefits Counseling can help program participants better understand public benefits, such as:
- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Medicaid (MA), Medicare
- Food Share
- Subsidized Housing
Counseling may be conducted on a one-time basis, or the Specialist may meet with the individual several times to complete a benefits analysis.
