Curative Care Receives Prestigious Three-Year CARF Accreditation Again
MILWAUKEE, WIS | December 6, 2021 – Curative Care is excited to have again achieved the prestigious three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for our Adult Day Services programs through October 2024.
Curative Care is proud of its very long history with successful CARF accreditation. It has been CARF accredited since 1968, almost as long as CARF has been in operation. Curative was the first agency in the United States to be accredited by CARF in all four areas of emphasis: physical restoration, social adjustment, vocational adjustment, and sheltered employment.
The three-year accreditation decision represents the highest level of CARF accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. This recognition shows Curative Care’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. Curative has demonstrated to a team of surveyors, during an on-site visit, its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
The CARF surveyors were once again very complimentary about Curative stating, “Curative Care Network is committed to continuous quality improvement and service delivery. The organization is highly regarded in the community as a leader with a very high degree of satisfaction with services and supports provided.”
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.
