Curative Care Again Achieves Prestigious Three-Year CARF Accreditation
April 10, 2018 | MILWAUKEE, WIS – Curative Care is excited to have again achieved prestigious three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for our Adult Day Services programs through March 2021.
Curative Care is proud of its very long history with successful CARF accreditation. It has been CARF accredited since 1968, almost as long as CARF has been in operation.
The three-year accreditation decision represents the highest level of CARF accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. This recognition shows Curative Care’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. Curative has demonstrated to a team of surveyors, during an on-site visit, its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
“This accreditation a true testament to the commitment of every Curative employee to provide high quality, person centered services to the thousands of children, adults and senior citizens served through our programs annually,” said Curative President and CEO, Candace Hennessy, PhD, RN. “On the eve of our 100 year anniversary in 2019, the need for our services has never been greater to help some of the most vulnerable people in our society thrive.”
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
