Kohl’s Cares Awards Curative Care Network $50,000 Through Its Hometown Giving Program

January 21, 2020 | MILWAUKEE, WIS – Curative Care Network has been chosen as a recipient for a $50,000 grant made possible through a generous donation from Kohl’s Cares and its Hometown Giving Program.

The grant will be used to help fund Curative’s Pediatric Therapy Gym at our 92nd Street location.

The gym is part of our dream to create a state-of-the art Pediatric Therapy Center featuring the latest in therapeutic innovations in a unique and inviting jungle atmosphere. The concept for the new center is rooted in best practices and evidence-based physical, occupational and speech therapy protocols.

A team of Curative therapists worked with an adaptive equipment architect who is an expert in the field to spearhead the gym’s exclusive design to meet the needs of the children we serve.

Its jungle-themed atmosphere and adaptive playground equipment were specifically chosen to integrate fun and play in a therapeutic manner to allow kids to be kids while receiving life-changing therapy.

We are grateful for the generous support from Kohl’s Cares and for their recognition of the positive impact that Curative has made in our community for over 100 years.

Internationally Recognized Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has awarded full three-year accreditation through October 2024 to our Adult Day Services programs. Curative Care has been CARF accredited since 1968.
